Principal

From the Principal, Mr Geoff McLay

Second only to parenting, teaching is the most important job in the world.  It is a job I am committed to and passionate about - there is no other job I would rather do.

My twenty-three years of educational experience traverse both public and independent sectors, wealthy schools and not-so-wealthy schools, small schools and large.  Most recently, I have had the privilege of being Deputy Principal and Acting Principal of a large, independent Preschool – Year 12 school in Brisbane.   My broad experience in administering schools as a Principal and Deputy Principal over the last fourteen years in five different schools has afforded me an excellent understanding of what students, parents and the community want and need from schools in the twenty-first century – the best from the past and the best of the present to give our students the best in the future.

This is what ICA brings...

to the communities of Casey and Cardinia.

As a regional school, ICA Casey College seeks to provide our students with the very best opportunities to develop as learners and leaders. Their futures are our future too. We take very seriously our role in developing future learners and leaders of local, national and global communities.  In this way, ICA Casey College has a clear and distinct focus as a community contributor.

to the students who attend ICA Casey College.

The needs and interests of our children are at the heart of what we do. Safety, respect and learning are non-negotiable aspects of every ICA Casey student’s college life. They can expect to develop healthy, positive and respectful relationships with their peers on a daily basis. They can expect to develop constructive, productive and caring learning relationships with ICA Casey’s staff on a daily basis.

            to parents.

Parents should expect ICA Casey College will provide comprehensive, full-service curricular and co-curricular programs. These programs will form the basis for each child to develop to their own ‘personal best’ academically, socially, emotionally and physically. Parents of ICA Casey College students can expect to see the very best educational services provided for their children.

             to staff.

Staff at ICA Casey College will reflect their commitment to, and modelling of learning by being highly skilled and totally committed to the needs of the students in their care. The development of teams, involving members of staff working together with parents to generate the best learning and developmental outcomes for students will be a feature of the day to day happenings at ICA Casey.

Based on a creative, entrepreneurial business model with a strong focus on delivering outstanding educational experiences, ICA Casey is paving the way for a new experience and an exciting choice for families who seek a quality educational option for their children, at exceptional value for money.

I look forward to meeting with families of prospective students to discuss the possibilities for their children’s futures and the many ways in which ICA Casey College can enable these young people to achieve their goals, aspirations and dreams.
