The Board of Directors

The ICA Board is constituted by six distinguished individuals from the Australian education and business communities. Collectively, the Board and the CEO has in excess of 135 years of experience in the schooling industry in Australia. The Board also has in excess 35 years experience in engineering and construction of major community facilities including schools.

Frank Peach - Chairman

Frank Peach is a director and Chairman of the Board.  Frank had an extensive career in the Queensland Public Sector which included appointments as Director General of the Department of Education and Director General of the Department of Families.  Prior to his appointments to senior positions in Education and Families, Frank was a secondary school inspector, principal and teacher. With 34 years experience in teaching, administration and leadership Frank brings vast experience and expertise to the ICA Board and ICA schools. Frank is currently a management consultant and has worked as an international consultant.


 

Emeritus Professor Frank Crowther, AM - Director
Professor Frank Crowther, BEd, MEd, Phd, is a foundation director and inaugural Chair of the ICA Board. He has recently retired as Pro Vice-Chancellor (Social Justice and Regional Engagement) and Dean in the Faculty of Education at the University of Southern Queensland (USQ).

Frank is one of Australia’s most respected educators and has contributed to education through extensive careers in both Canada and Australia. He spent eighteen years in Canada as a teacher, principal, inspector, Associate Director of Curriculum for Alberta and Regional Director for Edmonton and Northern Alberta. Professor Crowther received the Award of Excellence of the Alberta Teachers Association for services to the educator profession in Alberta. In 1997 the Australian Council for Educational Administration awarded him its Gold Medal for "outstanding leadership in Canada, Australia and the Asian region over a period of three decades in furthering the integrity of the profession of educational leadership" (Canberra, July 4, 19 7). He is a Fellow of the Australian College of Educators (ACE) and Fellow of the Australian Council of Educational Leaders(ACEL). In September, 2004 he was named as one of The Bulletin's 100 Smart Australians, 2004.

Emeritus Professor Crowther is also principal architect of the IDEAS Project, (Innovative Designs for Enhancing the Achievements of Schools), which is being implemented in several Australian states and in Singapore.back to top

 

Martin Kemp - Director
Martin Kemp is a foundation director of ICA. Martin holds Bachelor of Engineering (Hons) and Master of Engineering Science degrees and is a Member of the Institution of Engineers Australia. He has extensive project management experience in multi-million dollar projects around Australia.

Martin was co-founder of Premier Early Learning Centres. He has fifteen years experience in child care and has, in that time, owned, operated, managed or developed numerous childcare centres. He has been a Member of the Commonwealth Child Care Centres Advisory Council, President of the Queensland Professional Child Care Centres Association, President of the Australian Confederation of Child Care, President of the Queensland Private Child Care Centres Employers Organization and a Foundation Board Member of the Australian Childcare Centres Association (Federal Employer Organization). back to top

     
 

Douglas Pritchard - Director

Douglas Pritchard, FCA, ACIS, JP, joined the ICA Board in April 2008.  Douglas is owner, Director and Principal of Pritchard Seymour Chartered Accountants.  He has specialized in audit, SME compliance and taxation for over forty years. 

Doug has previously served on the Boards of Elders Mining Ltd and Malachite Resources NL and has served as the Finance Director to the Rotary Club of Sydney. 

Doug has also served as a  Board Member of The MacDonald College Limited (1984 – 1987), as Chair of  The MacDonald College Limited Board (2000 – 2006), as Finance Director of The MacDonald College Limited (2000 – 2005) and as an advisor to the Board of the American International School at Carlingford, NSW.

     

 

 

 

Dr Peter Cuttance - Director ec

Dr Peter Cuttance joined the ICA Board in April, 2008. Peter has 35 years of experience as an educator, researcher and educational administrator in schools and universities and holds degrees in science, economics and education. He has held the positions of Professor and Head of the School of Educational Psychology, Measurement and Technology and the School of Educational Psychology, Literacies and Learning at the University of Sydney (1996 – 2000), and Professor and Director of the Centre for Applied Educational Research at the University of Melbourne (2000 – 2005). Since 2005, Dr Cuttance has held the position of Managing Director of the Research Australia Development and Innovation Institute (RADII) which he established as a non-profit Education Foundation providing services to education organisations throughout Australasia.

Peter has an international track record in educational innovation, educational improvement and effectiveness and in the development of evidence-based projects in education. Over the last decade and a half, he has developed programs that have been responsible for the evaluation and development of projects in a wide range of areas of education in Australia and New Zealand. He has led government Research and Development Projects with a combined budget of more than $10 million and is an adviser to the Commonwealth Government and State Governments on a range of educational policy issues. Peter has led the research and development teams for the National Quality of Schooling Framework and the Boys' Education Lighthouse Schools Project since their inception.

Peter has published numerous scholarly articles and contributions were recognised in an editorial forward in the Cambridge Journal of Education as being at the ‘leading-edge’ of school review and improvement internationally.

Tom Mould - CEO

Tom has extensive experience as a primary school teacher, principal, district director, director and senior executive in the public education sector. He has led the development and completion of major construction projects in the public school sector.

Subsequent to his public sector career, Tom has continued to offer advice to a broad array of clients in the education, community development and corporate sectors through his own businesses. With 30 years experience in the education and business sectors, Tom brings significant practical knowledge and expertise to ICA.back to top
